कल तलक थे जिन घरों में उजाले।
आज क्यों लग रहे हैं उन पर जाले।
हर तरफ खिले रहते थे चेहरे खुशियों से।
आज क्यों है उन चेहरों पर नाले।
बिरह बान नजर आ रहे हैं हंँसते खेलते घर।
रौनकें लगी रहती थीं जिन घरों में आज लगे हैं ताले।
जो परिवार मिलजुल कर कमाते थे कल तक रोटी।
आज शहरों को निकले हैं ढूंँढने निवाले।
शातिरों ने चली है शायद चाल कुछ ऐसी।
कि फँस गए हैं उनमें कई लोग भोले भाले।
था जिन पर यकीन, देंगे साथ मुश्किलों में।
जब देखा ,लूटने वाले लोग थे अपने ही देखे भाले।
अपना समझ कर लगाते रहे जिनको गले।
लूट लिया सब जब, तो पता लगा वह थे दिल के काले।

Kal talak the jin gharon mein ujaale.
Aaj kyon lag rahe hain un par jaale.
Har taraph khile rahate the chehare khushiyon se.
Aaj kyon hai un cheharon par naale.
Birah baan najar aa rahe hain hannsate khelate ghar.
Raunaken lagee rahatee theen jin gharon mein aaj lage hain taale.
Jo parivaar milajul kar kamaate the kal tak roti.
Aaj shehron ko nikale hain dhondhane nivaale.
Shaatiron ne chali hai shaayad chaal kuchh aisi.
Ki phans gae hain unmein kai log bhole bhaale.
Tha jin par yakeen, denge saath mushkilon mein.
Jab dekha , lootane vaale log the apane hi dekhe bhaale.
Apana samjh kar lagaate rahe jinako gale.
Loot liya sab jab, to pata laga vah the dil ke kaale.

Everywhere the faces used to bloom with happiness.

Where people used to laugh, there is silence।
There used to be a lot of splendor in the houses which have locks today.
The families who used to earn bread together till yesterday.
Today they have come out to find it in the cities.
The rascals may have used something like this.
That many innocent people are trapped in them.
On whom they had faith, they will support them in difficulties.
When needed, it was found that they were the ones to loot.
They kept hugging those whom they considered as their own.
When they looted everything, then came to know that they were black at heart.
