Break through the clouds with all your strength, and continue your flight with pride.

Your destination may be far, but your courage will remain strong.

Many may try to pull you back, but keep moving forward all along.

Never turn and look behind; your future lies ahead.

Those who try to pull you back will hinder you, so move ahead instead.

ਅਸੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਸੀ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਇਨਸਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ,

ਪਰ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਕੈਦੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਰੱਖਣਾ ਸੀ।

ਅਸੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਪਿਆਰ ਦੇ ਭੁੱਖੇ ਸੀ ਸੱਜਣਾ,

ਪਰ ਤੂੰ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਨਫ਼ਰਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਰੱਖਣਾ ਸੀ।

ਜੀ ਲਵਾਂਗੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਫਿਰ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਦੇ ਸਹਾਰੇ,

ਤੂੰ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹਿ ਜੋ ਸਿਤਮ ਤੂੰ ਕਰਨਾ ਸੀ।

ਮੇਰੀ ਆਦਤ ਹੈ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੀਣ ਦੀ ਸੱਜਣਾ,

ਤੇਰੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਲਈ ਨਫ਼ਰਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਬਸਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਸੀ।

ਇਹੀ ਸੋਚ ਕੇ ਕਿ ਕੁਝ ਤਾਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਤੁਸੀਂ,

ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਤੈਅ ਕਰਨਾ ਸੀ।

ਕਿਉਂ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਖੁਦਾ ਨੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਦੋਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੰਨਾ ਅਲੱਗ,

ਉਸਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਦੋਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੰਨਾ ਦੂਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਸੀ।

ਸਿੱਖ ਲਓ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵੀ ਕੁਝ ਇਸ ਜਹਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਦਬ,

ਕਿਉਂ ਜ਼ੁਲਮੋ-ਸਿਤਮ ਕਰਕੇ ਹੀ ਇੱਥੇ ਮਰਨਾ ਸੀ।

For your love, I had to live with hate and fear.

Thinking that you cared for me somewhere,

I had to complete my journey with care.

Why did God make us so different, you and me?

ਐਨਾ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਤੇ,

ਤੂੰ ਵੀ ਜ਼ਰਾ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਰੱਖੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਤੇ।।

ਵਕਤ ਤਾਂ ਚੱਲਦਾ ਹੀ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਏ,

ਪਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਨਜ਼ਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਸਾਡੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ।।

Learn some manners from this world, my friend,

Humiliating someone is not a way to make amends.

ਮਾਫ਼ ਕਰੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ, ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਂ,

ਤੇਰਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਸਮਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਾਂ।

ਨਾ ਜਾਣੇ ਕਿਉਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ,

Something strange has happened in life’s way,

Life has become hard every day.

Though we wish to walk with everyone,

We cannot keep pace with them along the way.

Our efforts to stay together still remain,

But every task becomes a tangled chain.

What do you know how we are living here?

Everyone seems ready to cause us pain.

How can we tell you what we are going through?

It is so hard to speak of all this pain.

We also wish to add colours to our life,

May something wonderful happen once again.

ਜਦ ਭੁੱਲ ਜਾਈਏ ਆਪਣਾ ਗ਼ਮ, ਮੁਹੱਬਤ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਨੇ।

ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਦਾ ਗ਼ਮ, ਨਿਕਲੇ ਦਮ, ਮੁਹੱਬਤ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਨੇ।

ਦੁਨੀਆ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਮਰਜ਼ੀ ਕਰੇ ਸਿਤਮ,

ਨਾ ਘਟੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਦਾ ਰੰਗ, ਮੁਹੱਬਤ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਨੇ।

ਉਸਦੀ ਯਾਦ ’ਚ ਕਦੋਂ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇ ਸਵੇਰ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ਾਮ,

ਲੈਂਦੇ ਰਹੀਏ ਉਸਦਾ ਨਾਮ, ਮੁਹੱਬਤ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਨੇ।

ਜਦ ਮਨ ਨਾ ਲੱਗੇ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕੰਮ,

ਤੇ ਲੰਮੀ ਲੱਗੇ ਹਰ ਸ਼ਾਮ, ਮੁਹੱਬਤ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਨੇ।

ਜਿੱਧਰ ਵੇਖੀਏ ਯਾਰ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਚਿਹਰਾ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਆਵੇ,

ਤੇ ਦਿਲ ਘਬਰਾਵੇ, ਮੁਹੱਬਤ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਨੇ।

ਹਰ ਪਲ ਹਰ ਘੜੀ ਜਿਸਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਸਤਾਏ,

ਤੇ ਨੀਂਦ ਨਾ ਆਏ, ਮੁਹੱਬਤ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਨੇ।

ਜੀਅ ਇਹ ਚਾਹੇ, ਯਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਖੁਦਾ ਮੰਨਿਏ,

ਚਾਹੇ ਜਾਣੇ ਜਾਂ ਅਣਜਾਣੇ, ਮੁਹੱਬਤ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਨੇ।

ਬਸ ਉਹੀ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਵੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਬਹਾਨੇ,

ਇਹੀ ਗਾਏ ‘ਗੀਤ’ ਤਰਾਨੇ, ਮੁਹੱਬਤ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਨੇ।

When we forget our own pain, that is called love.

Hearing other's pain and feeling the same, that is called love.

Whatever the world may say, our love stays the same.

Even if life takes our breath, that is called love.

When morning turns to evening in their name,

And every breath whispers their name, that is called love.

When nothing feels good while doing our work,

And the evening feels long, that is called love.

Wherever we look, their face we see,

And our heart feels restless, that is called love.

Every moment, every hour, their memory stays,

And sleep goes away, that is called love.

When the heart wants only them as God,

Whether knowingly or unknowingly, that is called love.

When we wish to meet them by any means,

And 'Geet' sings songs for them all day, that is called love.

ਕੋਈ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਏ ਕਿਵੇਂ,

ਆਪਣੇ 'ਚ ਗੁਆਚੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਨੇ ਐਵੇਂ।

ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਨੇੜੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਿਵੇਂ,

ਬੈਠੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਨੇ ਪਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿਉਂ ਐਵੇਂ।

ਦੁਨੀਆ ਜਹਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਨੇ,

ਆਪਣੀ ਧੁਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੂਰ ਨੇ,

ਹੋਸ਼ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ,

ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਬੇਖ਼ਬਰ ਨੇ ਜਿਵੇਂ।

ਜਗਾਏ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ,

ਸਮਝਾਏ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ,

ਜਹਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ,

ਖਾਮੋਸ਼ ਕਿਉਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਇਵੇਂ।

ਹੋਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਜਾਣ ਹੁਣ ਉਹ,

ਖ਼ਬਰ ਰੱਖਣ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦੀ ਉਹ,

ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਗੁਆਚੇ ਰਹੇ,

ਤਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਉਹ ਜੀਣਗੇ ਕਿਵੇਂ?
