ਤੂੰ ਹੋਣ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਨਾ ਦਿਲ ਨੂੰ ਸੀ ਇਹ ਗੁਮਾਨ ਕਿਤੇ।

ਜੀ ਜਾਨ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ ਮਿਹਨਤ, ਫਸਲ ਨੂੰ ਬੀਜਣ ਤੇ,

ਦਗਾ ਹੈ ਖਾ ਗਿਆ ਮੌਸਮ ਤੋਂ ਉਹ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਕਿਤੇ।

ਚਮਕਦੇ ਤਾਰੇ ਜਿੱਥੇ, ਦੇਵੇ ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀ ਸੂਰਜ,

ਬਣਾਵਾਂ 'ਗੀਤ' ਤਮੰਨਾ ਸੀ ਮੈਂ ਜਹਾਨ ਕਿਤੇ।

open my wings, touch the sky.

You made a promise, never let love die,

Now no sign, no reason why.

I gave you rights over my heart,

You never cared from the start.

I built with life a home so dear,

Now broken walls are standing here.

You will leave me, I never knew,

you never gave any clue.

The farmer worked, with all his might,

Yet lost his crop, to fate’s cruel fight.

Stars shine bright, sun gives light,

I wished my world, be always bright.

ਚੁੱਪ ਰਿਹਾ ਉਹ ਅੱਜ ਤੱਕ, ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿ ਕੁਝ ਹੋਇਆ ਨਹੀਂ।

ਮਜਬੂਰੀਆਂ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਕਈ ਵਾਰ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਐਸੀਆਂ,

ਕਰਨਾ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ, ਜੋ ਸੋਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਕਦੇ ਕਰਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ।

ਕਈ ਵਾਰ ਬਾਹਰੋਂ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਬੜਾ ਸੋਹਣਾ,

ਕਿਵੇਂ ਜਾਣੇਗਾ ਕੋਈ ਦੂਜੇ ਨੂੰ, ਜਦ ਉਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਦੇ ਜੀਆ ਨਹੀਂ।

ਸੋਚ ਸਭ ਦੀ ਵੱਖਰੀ ਹੂੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਹਰ ਗੱਲ ਲਈ,

ਸਮਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ, ਜਦ ਤੱਕ ਖੁਦ ਕੁਝ ਸਹਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ।

ਹਰ ਕੋਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੁਦਾ, ਹਰ ਕੋਈ ਖੁਦ ਨੂੰ ਸਹੀ ਸਮਝੇ,

ਸਹੀ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਹੋਵੇ ਉਹ, ਜੋ ਸੱਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਦੇ ਸਹੀ ਹੋਇਆ ਨਹੀਂ।

ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਤਾਂ ਕਰ ਲੈਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਦੂਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਣ ਦੀ,

ਕੀ ਜਾਣੇ ਦਰਦ ਹੋਰਾਂ ਦਾ, ਜਿਸ ਕਦੇ ਇਹ ਜ਼ਿੰਮਾ ਲਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ।

ਦੁਨੀਆ ਲੱਗੇਗੀ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਐਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਬੇਪਰਵਾਹ, ਬੇਰਹਮ ਜਿਹੀ,

ਜਦ ਉਸਨੇ ਖੁਦ ਕਦੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਦਾ ਭਲਾ ਕਰਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ।

Everyone thinks in their own way,

You won’t understand till one day.

Each feels they themselves are right,

Truth still stays out of sight.

Try at least to understand,

Feel their pain, give your hand.

ਕਿਉਂ ਗੱਲ ਗੱਲ ਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇੱਦਾਂ ਸੁਣਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ,

ਕਿਉਂ ਚਾਹੁਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਦਾਂ ਸਤਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।

ਹਰ ਰਾਜ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਅਸੀਂ ਸੀ ਤੈਨੂੰ,

ਹਰ ਰਾਜ਼ ਆਪਣਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਸਾਥੇਂਂ ਛੁਪਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।

ਦਿਲ ਤੋੜ ਕੇ ਗਿਆ ਓਹ, ਜੋ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਸੀ ਆਪਣਾ,

ਕਿਉਂ ਯਾਦ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਹਨੂੰ ਦਿਲ ਨੂੰ ਜਲਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।

ਮੁੜਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਨੇ ਫਿਰ ਜੋ, ਇਕ ਵਾਰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ,

ਕਿਉਂ ਆਉਣ ਦੇ ਉਨਾਂ ਦੇ, ਸੁਪਨੇ ਸਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।

ਸਭ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਨੇ ਟੁੱਟਿਆ ਹੈ ਦਿਲ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇ ਕਰ ਕੇ,

ਅੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੰਝੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਫਿਰ ਕਿਉਂ ਲੁਕਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।

ਮੈਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਤੇਰੀ, ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਨੀਅਤ ਨੂੰ,

ਗੱਲ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਲਾ ਕੇ, ਤੂੰ ਕੀ ਜਤਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।

 ਪਿੱਠ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ ਘੋੰਪਿਆ ਕੱਲ੍ਹ, ਖੰਜਰ ਸੀ "ਗੀਤ" ਨੂੰ ਜਿਸ,

Why hide from me now truth, my dear.

The one who broke this heart of mine,

Still for that one why my thoughts align.

All people know someone broke my heart,

Still hide my tears and smile my  part.

I know your intention for me inside,

By hugging me now, what you try to hide.

Yesterday, “Geet”, was stabbed behind,

ਦਿਲ ਨਾਮ ਤੇਰੇ ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਸਰੇਆਮ ਹੈ ਲਿਖਿਆ।

ਰੁਸਵਾ ਨਾ ਕਰੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਖ਼ਤ ਨੂੰ।

ਖ਼ਤ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਬੇਨਾਮ ਹੈ ਲਿਖਿਆ।

ਮਿੱਲਣ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਖਤ 'ਚ ਕੱਲ੍ਹ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਹੈ ਲਿਖਿਆ।

ਸੌਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੱਚਾ, ਇਹ ਖ਼ਰਾ ਸੌਦਾ ਹੈ ਦਿਲ ਦਾ।
