ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਫਿਰ ਛੇੜਾਂਗੇ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰੀ ਤਰਾਨਾ ਕੋਈ।

 ਨਾਲ ਤੇਰੇ ਲੱਗੇ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਮੇਰੀ ਜੰਨਤ ਵਰਗੀ,

ਜਦ ਤੋਂ ਵਿੱਛੜੇ ਨਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਠਿਕਾਣਾ ਕੋਈ।

ਮੌਤ ਵਰਗਾ ਦੁੱਖ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਜਾਣ ਪਿੱਛੋਂ ਤੇਰੇ,

ਸਾਥੋਂ ਪੁੱਛੇ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਕੀ ਹੈ ਦਿਲ ਲਗਾਣਾ ਕੋਈ।

ਨੇੜੇ ਸੀ ਜਦ ਤੂੰ ਤਾਂ ਜੰਨਤ ਸੀ ਇਹ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਮੇਰੀ,

ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਮੁੜ ਕੇ ਲਿਆਵੇ ਓਹ ਜਮਾਨਾ ਕੋਈ।

 ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਸੀਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਸੀ ਓ ਕੰਡਾ ਬਣ ਕੇ,

ਐਨਾ ਵੀ ਆਸਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਭੁਲਾਣਾ ਕੋਈ।

ਹੋ ਗਈ ਜਿੰਦੜੀ ਇਹ ਗੁਮਸੁਮ ਗਿਆ ਜਦ ਤੂੰ ਸੀ।

ਯਾਰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਸਿਖਾਵੇ ਚਹਚਹਾਣਾ ਕੋਈ।

ਥੱਕ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਵੀਰਾਨ ਜਿਹੀ ਜੀ ਕੇ।

"ਗੀਤ" ਮਿਲ ਜਾਵੇ ਕਿਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਦਿਨ ਪੁਰਾਣਾ ਕੋਈ।

 Make some sweet excuse to meet me again

Come close to me and sing that tune again.

With you, my world had turned to heaven’s plane,

Since we broke apart, no place to remain.

So much pain I bore when you had gone away,

Who can tell what it means, to love in vain.

When you were near, life bloomed like gentle rain,

I wish to bring back that old time again.

Like a thorn, you live deep inside my vein,

Is it ever easy to forget that pain?

Life is silent since you left my lane,

Teach me how to smile and chirp again.

I am tired, living life so dry and plain,

"Geet" longs to see those old sweet days again.

ਰਹੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਨਮ ਤੇਰੇ ਜਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ।

ਤੋੜ ਕੇ ਦਿਲ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ ਨੇ ਉਹ।

ਮੈਂ ਖੋਲ੍ਹ ਉੱਡਦਾ ਪਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ, ਛੂ ਆਸਮਾਨ ਕਿਤੇ।

ਕਸਮ ਜੋ ਖਾਈ ਸੀ ਤੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਾ ਭੁਲਾਣ ਦੀ ਸੀ,

ਨਹੀਂ ਕਸਮ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ, ਨਾਮ ਤੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਕਿਤੇ।

ਢੇਹਾ ਓ ਦਿਲ ਦਾ ਮੇਰੇ, ਬਣ ਕੇ ਹੈ ਮਕਾਨ ਕਿਤੇ।

ਤੂੰ ਇੰਜ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਕਦੇ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਂਗਾ,

ਤੂੰ ਹੋਣ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਨਾ ਦਿਲ ਨੂੰ ਸੀ ਇਹ ਗੁਮਾਨ ਕਿਤੇ।

ਜੀ ਜਾਨ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ ਮਿਹਨਤ, ਫਸਲ ਨੂੰ ਬੀਜਣ ਤੇ,

ਕਰਨਾ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ, ਜੋ ਸੋਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਕਦੇ ਕਰਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ।

ਕਈ ਵਾਰ ਬਾਹਰੋਂ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਬੜਾ ਸੋਹਣਾ,

ਕਿਵੇਂ ਜਾਣੇਗਾ ਕੋਈ ਦੂਜੇ ਨੂੰ, ਜਦ ਉਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਦੇ ਜੀਆ ਨਹੀਂ।

ਸੋਚ ਸਭ ਦੀ ਵੱਖਰੀ ਹੂੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਹਰ ਗੱਲ ਲਈ,

ਸਮਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ, ਜਦ ਤੱਕ ਖੁਦ ਕੁਝ ਸਹਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ।

ਹਰ ਕੋਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੁਦਾ, ਹਰ ਕੋਈ ਖੁਦ ਨੂੰ ਸਹੀ ਸਮਝੇ,

ਸਹੀ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਹੋਵੇ ਉਹ, ਜੋ ਸੱਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਦੇ ਸਹੀ ਹੋਇਆ ਨਹੀਂ।

ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਤਾਂ ਕਰ ਲੈਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਦੂਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਣ ਦੀ,

ਕੀ ਜਾਣੇ ਦਰਦ ਹੋਰਾਂ ਦਾ, ਜਿਸ ਕਦੇ ਇਹ ਜ਼ਿੰਮਾ ਲਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ।

ਦੁਨੀਆ ਲੱਗੇਗੀ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਐਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਬੇਪਰਵਾਹ, ਬੇਰਹਮ ਜਿਹੀ,

ਜਦ ਉਸਨੇ ਖੁਦ ਕਦੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਦਾ ਭਲਾ ਕਰਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ।

ਹਰ ਰਾਜ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਅਸੀਂ ਸੀ ਤੈਨੂੰ,

ਹਰ ਰਾਜ਼ ਆਪਣਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਸਾਥੇਂਂ ਛੁਪਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।

ਦਿਲ ਤੋੜ ਕੇ ਗਿਆ ਓਹ, ਜੋ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਸੀ ਆਪਣਾ,

ਕਿਉਂ ਯਾਦ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਹਨੂੰ ਦਿਲ ਨੂੰ ਜਲਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।

ਮੁੜਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਨੇ ਫਿਰ ਜੋ, ਇਕ ਵਾਰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ,

ਅੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੰਝੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਫਿਰ ਕਿਉਂ ਲੁਕਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।

ਮੈਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਤੇਰੀ, ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਨੀਅਤ ਨੂੰ,

In every secret, we kept you near,

Why hide from me now truth, my dear.

The one who broke this heart of mine,

Still for that one why my thoughts align.

All people know someone broke my heart,

Still hide my tears and smile my  part.

I know your intention for me inside,

By hugging me now, what you try to hide.

Yesterday, “Geet”, was stabbed behind,

ਇਸ ਦਿਲ ਤੇ ਸਨਮ ਜਦ ਤੋਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੈ ਲਿਖਿਆ।

ਦਿਲ ਨਾਮ ਤੇਰੇ ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਸਰੇਆਮ ਹੈ ਲਿਖਿਆ।

ਰੁਸਵਾ ਨਾ ਕਰੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਖ਼ਤ ਨੂੰ।

ਖ਼ਤ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਬੇਨਾਮ ਹੈ ਲਿਖਿਆ।

ਦਿਲ ਖੋਲ ਕੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਖ਼ਤ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ।

ਪੜ੍ਹਿਓ ਇਹਨੂੰ ਦਿਲ ਨਾਲ ਜੋ ਪੈਗ਼ਾਮ ਹੈ ਲਿਖਿਆ।

ਆ ਜਾਈਂ ਸਨਮ ਵੇਖਾਂਗਾ ਮੈਂ ਰਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ।

ਚੱਲਦੀ ਰਹੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਗ਼ਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹ 'ਤੇ।

ਰਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ 'ਗੀਤ' ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਗਾਏ ਕਦ ਗਏ।

ਉਮਰ ਭਰ ਦੀ ਪੁੰਜੀ ਲੁਟਾਈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਵਾਰਣ ਲਈ,

ਉਸ ਮਿਲਣਾ ਮਿਲਾਉਣਾ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

ਅਸੀਂ ਮੰਦੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ, ਨਵੇਂ ਲੋਕ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਚੰਗੇ,

ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਿਭਾਉਣਾ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

ਹੋਠਾਂ ਦੀ ਹਾਸੀ ਗੁੰਮ ਹੈ, ਚਿਹਰਾ ਵੀ ਉਦਾਸ ਹੈ,

ਕਿਉਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾਉਣਾ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦਾ ਮਕਸਦ ਜਦ ਖੁਸ਼ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਹੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ,

ਫਿਰ ਕਿਉਂ ਖੁਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਖਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

ਭੁੱਲ ਬੈਠੇ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਤੇ ਗਮ ਦਾ ਫ਼ਰਕ ਓਹ,

ਸਿਰਜੇ ਸੁਪਨੇ ਜੋ ਸੋਚ ਕੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ।

ਸੁਪਨੇ ਇਦਾਂ ਦੇ ਢਹਿ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਉਂਦੇ।

ਪਿਆਰ ਨੂੰ ਹਾਂ ਤੜਫਦੇ ਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ।

ਇਹ ਜੁਦਾਈ ਤਾਂ ਸਹਿ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਉਂਦੇ।

ਖੇਡ ਖੇਡਣ ਉਹ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਵੀ ਮਰਜ਼ੀ।

ਦੇ ਕਦੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਹਿ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਉਂਦੇ।

Yes, today for you I lose my heart,

Yet from love I still keep far apart.

I have seen a heart that breaks,

Now I pray it never breaks.

Sometimes thinking about you I cry,

Sometimes with a deep sad sigh.

Those who once would share my pain,

Now they never come again.

In Geet’s memories pass the day,

All night I think of them that way.

Will this lovely dream be full one day,

Where are those who once would shine?

Their palaces now fall and pine.

Who can read what lies inside?

 ਤਾਰੇ ਵੀ ਘੱਟ ਨੇ ਅਸਮਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ,

ਚੰਨ ਵੀ ਹੁਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿਸਦਾ।

ਕੀ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਏ ਇਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ,

ਪ੍ਰਦੂਸ਼ਣ ਹਰ ਪਾਸੇ ਹੈ ਹੁਣ ਦਿਸਦਾ।

ਖੋ ਗਏ ਨੇ ਚੰਨ ਤਾਰੇ ਇਸ ਹਵਾ ਵਿੱਚ,

ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਸਾਫ਼ ਹੁਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿਸਦਾ ।

ਇਦਾਂ ਹੀ

ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕ ਵੀ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਨੇ ਐਸੇ ਕਿ ਬਸ,

ਜ਼ਬਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਮਿੱਠਾ ਬੋਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਨਿਕਲਦਾ ।

ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਕੋਈ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇ ਐਸਾ,

ਪਿਆਰ ਭਰਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਨਿਕਲਦਾ।

ਕੀ ਕਹੀਏ ਬਦਲ ਗਿਆ ਏ ਜ਼ਮਾਨਾ,

ਬਦਲ ਗਏ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ।

ਕੀ ਚੱਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ,

ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿਸਦਾ।

Smoke and poison fill the way.

Moon and stars are lost from sight,

Covered by the dusty night.

ਮਗਰ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦਾ ਮਜ਼ਾ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ

ਜ਼ਮਾਨੇ ਨੇ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਕਈ ਉਲਝਣਾਂ ਨੇ,

ਨਾ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਰੋਕ ਪਰ ਪਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।

ਜੋ ਹੈ ਭੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਤਾਂ,

ਨਜ਼ਰ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਖਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।

ਜ਼ਰਾ ਮੁੜ ਕੇ ਵੀ ਵੇਖ ਲੈ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਨੂੰ,

ਤੂੰ ਕੀ ਦੌੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਛੱਡਦਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।

 ਜਮਾਨਾ ਹੈ ਆਇਆ ਏ ਫ਼ੋਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਹੁਣ ‘ਗੀਤ’,

ਨਵੀਂ ਰੋਜ਼ ਤਕਨੀਕ ਲੈ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
