ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਲਿਖੀ ਵੀ ਹੈ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਸੀਬ ਵਿੱਚ,

ਕਿਉਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਦਲਦੀ।

ਛੱਡ ਜੱਦ ਆਏ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ। 

ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਭਾਲਣਾ  ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਔਖਾ। 

ਐਸੇ ਬਣੇ ਹਾਲਾਤ ਦਿਲ ਦੇ। 

 

ਹੁਣ ਨਾ ਪੁੱਛੋ ਹਾਲ ਦਿਲ ਦਾ। 

ਕਹਿਣਾ ਹੈ ਮਲਾਲ ਦਿਲ ਦਾ। 

ਕਿਵੇਂ ਰੱਖਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਖ਼ਿਆਲ ਇਸ ਦਾ।

ਚਿੱਠੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਦੌਰ ਹੁਣ ਮੁੱਕ ਗਿਆ ਏ।

ਪਰ ਇੰਝ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਇਹ ਸੋਚਿਆ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ।

ਆਏ ਹੋ ਤਾਂ ਕੁਝ ਪਲ ਹੋਰ ਠਹਿਰ ਜਾਓ,

ਕੀ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਉਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਨਾ ਰਹਿਣ ਦੇਵੇਂਗਾ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਸੀ?

ਪਲ ਭਰ ਦੀ ਮੁਲਾਕਾਤ ਨੇ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਬਦਲ ਦਿੱਤੀ,

ਹੁਣ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ, ਜੇ ਜਾਣਾ ਹੀ ਸੀ ਫਿਰ ਆਏ ਕਿਉਂ ਸੀ?

"ਫਿਰ ਮਿਲਾਂਗੇ" ਆਖ ਕੇ ਤੁਰ ਚੱਲੇ ਓ,

ਅਸੀਂ ਓਥੇ ਹੀ ਖੜੇ ਹਾਂ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਖੜੇ ਸੀ।
