हर शख्स से मिलकर जाननी चाही,
हर शख्स की बात।
हर शख्स फ़र्क़ था,
जैसे फ़र्क़ थी उनकी बात।।

हर बात में उनकी डर था,
जैसे हो काली रात।
हर शख्स बेजुबान हो जाता,
जो आती ऊँची आवाज़।।

शहर , शहर नहीं था। ऐसा था,
जैसे शेर का जंगल में हो राज।
हर शख्स डरता था बाहर चलने से,
जैसे भूतों के जंगल की हो राह।।

हर शख्स के कदम ऐसे उठते थे,
जैसे वो छुपाए हो कोई राज़।

जमाना सहमा सहमा है,
हर किसी को पता है ,क्या है इसका राज़।।

मौत हर किसी के सर पर मंडरा रही है,
ऐसे हैं आज के हालात।।

English meaning...
When I meet different persons to know there opinion
While talking I feel evryones opinion was different as there words were
Everyone was afraid as one feel in dark night outside
Everybody feel helpless and get silent whenever there is loud sound
City was like forest having loins and everybody fear to go outside as if there are ghost
Everyone step outside so heavily as if they are hiding some secret
Whereas everybody knows what's the secret
Situation is this, that Everybody feels death is hovering over one's head.
