फिर शम्मा याद कि इक जलाई जाए।

याद में तेरी फिर रात भर पढ़ें कलाम ,
यह रीत नयी इक आज चलाई जाए।

ज्यों ज्यों बढे शायरी का शबाब,
जाम ए उल्फत सबको फिर पिलाई जाए।

भूल नहीं पाते याद आने वाले को ,
कोशिश फिर भी करेंगे ,कसम उठाई जाए।

याद ए महफिल यूँ ही सजती रहेंगी,
यह रीत कभी ना संगीता भुलाई जाए।

Teree yaad mein ek mahaphil sajaee jae,
Phir shamma yaad ki ik jalaee jae.

Yaad mein teree phir raat bhar padhen kalaam ,
Yeh reet nayee ik aaj chalaee jae.

Jyon jyon badhe shaayaree ka shabaab,
Jaam e ulphat sabako phir pilaee jae.

Bhool nahin paate yaad aane vaale ko ,
Koshish phir bhee karenge ,kasam uthaee jae.

Yaad e mahaphil yoon hee sajatee rahengee,
Yeh reet kabhee na sangeeta bhulaee jae.

(English Translation)

A memorial in your memory should be decorated
Then burn candle (Shamma) in your  rememberance. .

Read poetry( Kalam)in your memory overnight.
This custom should be strart from today.

As the poetry  grew and people feel it. ,
Drinks of love should be drunk and served.

Can never forget you, trying again and again,
All will swear ,try to do it again and again.

Remember, I will continue to decorate like this,
This ritual should never be forgotten by Sangeeta.
