बात बात पर आँखें दिखाती है बेटियाँ।
मानते रहो चुपचाप जो कहा उनका तो ठीक है।
वरना न जाने क्या क्या सुनाती है बेटियाँ।
करते रहे हैं ख्वाहिशें पूरी उनकी मगर।
इस बात को कहाँ समझ पाती है बेटियाँ।
कर लिया है फर्ज पूरा माँ बाप ने मगर।
कुछ न किया है आज तक, कह जाती हैं बेटियाँ।
समझ में आएगा यह सब उसी दिन उनको।
जब खुद के सामने उन्ही की आएंगी बेटियाँ।
चलते रहेंगे सिलसिले यूँ ही जहान में।
फिर भी फर्ज तो अपना निभाएंगी बेटियाँ।

Baat baat par aankhen dikhaatee hai betiyaan.
Maanate raho chupachaap jo kaha unaka to theek hai.
Varna na jaane kya kya sunaatee hai betiyaan.
Karte rahe hain khvaahishen pooree unakee magar.
Is baat ko kahaan samajh paatee hai betiyaan.
Kar liya hai pharj poora maan baap ne magar.
Kuchh na kiya hai aaj tak, kah jaatee hain betiyaan.
Samajh mein aaega yah sab usee din unako.
Jab khud ke saamane unhee kee aaengee betiyaan.
Chalate rahenge silasile yoon hee jahaan mein.
Phir bhi farj to apana nibhaengee betiyaan.
