लहराती नदियों को क्या हुआ,
 जो ठहरी गई है हर लहर ।

हवाएं क्यों ठहर सी गयी।
क्या सो गये हैं शज़र (पेड़)।

क्या निकला है कोई लेकर खंजर,
 जो सुनसान हो गया है शहर।

कहाँ जा के छुप रहे हैं सब ,
क्या है कहीं कोई ऐसा दर।

कैसा खौफ़ छाया है हर जगह,
 हो गए हैं सब दर ब दर।

Khaamosh kyon hai har dagar.
Khaamoshee kyon  hain sabake ghar.

Kahaan gae ghar ke log ,
Kahaan kar rahe hain basar.

Lehraatee nadiyon ko kya hua,
 Jo thaharee gaee hai har lahar .

Kya nikala hai koee lekar khanjar,
Jo sunasaan ho gaya hai shahar.

Bache bhee to bache kahaan ja ke koee ,
Kya hai kaheen koee aisa dar.

Kaisa khof chhaaya hai har jagah,
Ho gae hain sab dar ba dar.

Why is silence at everyone's home .

Where did the housemates go,
Where are all living.

What happened to the wavy rivers,
 Every wave hasbeen stopped.

What has turned out to paths.
 The city that has become deserted.

Even if left, no one can go anywhere
Is there any such rate?

What kind of shadow is everywhere,
 All have become desserted.
