3430 Shaheed Bhagat Singh

Bhagat Singh was that freedom fighter of our land,

Who did whatever he once had planned.

With Chandra Shekhar Azad, he shook the British might,

He decided to end their rule and fight.

He killed cruel John Saunders, threw bomb in Assembly hall,

English spoke much, but he did not care at all.

Bhagat Singh, Shivaram Rajguru and Sukhdev Thapar were given death’s call,

From their lips came “Victory to India” for all.

“Inquilab Zindabad” slogan he gave to the nation,

Salute to those heroes, whose youth is immortal inspiration.

We bow to those who sacrificed for the land,

Jai Hind, Jai Bharat—freedom came by their hand.

At age twenty-three, on March twenty-third, they died on the rope,

“Rang De Basanti Chola” echoed with hope.

Lighting the flame of revolution so bright,

They made themselves immortal in history’s light.
