जाने क्या किस देश का संदेश लाये पंछी।
ला के यह संदेश किस किसको मिलाये पंछी।
जब मिले संदेश कोई दूर से अपनों का।
मिलते ही संदेश नाचे और गाये पंछी।
बज उठें फिर तार दिल के, झूमना तन चाहे।
ऐसे में फिर याद उनकी लेके आये पंछी।
जब से बिछड़े ना मिले सिवा यादों में।
याद में इतना भी कोई न सताये पंछी।
है दुआ रब से घड़ी जल्दी मिलन की आये।
शुभ घड़ी ऐसी मिलन की जो मिलाये पंछी।
देर इतनी भी ना करना, देर हो जाये जो।
ऐसा न हो मिलने से पहले उड़ ये जाये पंछी।
हैं जुदाई की जो घड़ियां, हों वो पूरी इनकी।
"गीत" दिन ऐसा भी आये जो मिलाये पंछी।

La ke yah sandesh kis kisako milae panchhee.
Jab mile sandesh koee door se apanon ka.
Milte hee sanसंदेश लाये पंछीdesh naache aur gae panchhee.
Baj uthen phir taar dil ke, jhoomana tan chaahe.
Aise mein phir yaad unakee leke aae panchhee
Jab se bichhade na mile siva yaadon mein.
Yaad mein itana bhee koee na satae panchhee.
Hai dua rab se ghadee jaldee milan kee aaye.
Shubh ghadee aisee milan kee jo milae panchhee.
Der itanee bhee na karana, der ho jae jo
Aisa na ho milane se pahale ud ye jae panchhee
Hain judaee kee jo ghadiyaan hon vo pooree inakee
