देकर सुरों का तोहफा सनम ,
सुरीली आवाज में इस जन्म ,
भारत ही नहीं, दुनिया के तुम तो हो गए ।
तुम न जाने किस जहां में खो गए।
माना रिश्ता आज छूट गया ।
दिल हमारा भी टूट गया ।
रहो न रहो तुम आसपास, महका करोगे ।
लता जी तुम सदा दिल में हो, दिल में रहोगे।
आई बन के कली बन के सबा बागे वफा में ।
फूल सुरों के महका गई वो थी हवा में ।
हर तरफ फिर तराने गूंजे इस कदर ,
रही न दुनिया को फिर अपनी खबर।
आज छोड़ चली वो चमन की कली ।
सूनी कर गई सबके मन की गली ।
ऐसी हस्ती फिर न जाने कब है आनी।
ऐ मेरे वतन के लोगों, जरा आंख में भर लो पानी।

Dekar suron ka tohapha sanam ,
Sureelee aavaaj mein is janm ,
Bhaarat kee nahin, duniya ke ho gae .
Tum na jaane kis jahaan mein kho gae.
Maana aaj rishta chhoot gaya .
Dil hamaara bhee toot gaya .
Raho na raho tum aasapaas, mahaka karoge .

Lata jee tum sada dil mein ho, dil mein rahoge.
Aaee ban ke kalee ban ke saba baage vapha mein .
Phool suron ke mahaka gaee hava mein .
Har taraph phir taraane goonje is kadar ,
Rahee na duniya ko phir apanee khabar.
Aaj chhod chalee vo maasoom kalee .
Soonee kar gaee sabake man kee galee .
Aisee hastee phir na jaane kab hai aanee.
Ae mere vatan ke logon, jara aankh mein bhar lo paanee.
