3265 Celebrate Diwali, But With Care (English poetry)

Hindi version 467

Punjabi version 3266

Light the lamps of joy and cheer,

But stay alert, be careful here.

Celebrate with hearts so bright,

Not with smoke that dims the light.

Respect the air, respect the ground,

Keep peace and calm all around.

This earth is your home, your precious place,

Keep it clean ,keep it safe.

If air gets poisoned, skies turn grey,

What kind of joy will come that day?

When health is gone and hearts in pain,

Will light still shine, or tears remain?

So respect the earth, keep air clean,

Protect the world, keep it green.

If air turns foul, what joy will stay?

Health and wealth will fade away.

So celebrate Diwali fair,

Spread love and light, but handle with care.
