2861 What if (English poetry)

 English version of 0114

Before you took his life away,

Did you pause to think, even for a day?

If it were you lying in his place,

Wouldn’t your son cry in that space?

When you leave this world one day,

Have you thought of what your loved ones would say?

If it were your daughter there instead,

Would her tears not soak her bed?

The love you stole, you can’t replace,

What if your home lost love’s embrace?

The way they weep and mourn him now,

Wouldn't someone cry for you somehow?

What would you say to the one who struck?

Would your heart not curse its luck?

Just like you shattered his life apart,

Wouldn't your home too fall apart?

Why don't you think before you destroy?

Why crush others’ golden dreams and joy?

If someone ruined your life someday,

Set your world on fire without delay,

Tell me, what would you even do,

If someone left you helpless too?
