2862 Give Sons Some Values

Hindi version 1078

Punjabi version 2463

I understand, your son is your home’s bright crown,

But I too, dear father, bring honor of my own.

Why am I living in fear, do you ever care?

What stops me from growing, won’t you be fair?

The chains of tradition you’ve tied around me,

Place them on your sons, let them also see.

You wish to see me as Sita, gentle and true,

Teach values to your sons, and Ravana subdue.

Every daughter will be Sita when there’s Ram in each home,

If you dream of a pure world, start cleansing your own dome.
