क़ाफ़िया आप रदीफ क्या दें अब

Qafiya aab Radeef kya Den ab

Behar : aap jinke kreeb hote hain

Pyaar ka ham, hisaab kya den ab.

Hai kiya behisaab, kya den ab.

Ban gae ho kisee ke ab to tum.

Pyaar mein ham gulaab kya den ab.

Gair ke ho ke paas aae ho.

Tujhako isaka, javaab kya den ab.

Bevaphaee jo tumane kee hamase.

Isaka tumako khitaab kya den ab.

Ishk kee aag mein jo tadap hai.

Dil jala jisaka aab kya den ab.

Jisane pee lee, ho teree aannkhon se.

Usako bolo sharaab kya den ab.

Geet jo aafataab hai khud hee.

Ham use mahataab kya den ab.

(English meaning)

How can we account for love now?

I have done so much, what should I give now?

You have become someone's now.

What roses should we give in love now?

You have come to me leaving a stranger.

What answer should I give you to this now?

The betrayal you did to me.

What title should I give you for this now?

The yearning in the fire of love.

Whose heart is burning, what should I give now?

Whoever drank it, may it be from your eyes.

Tell, what liquor to give now.

The 'Geet'' which is Aftab himself.

What importance should we give him now?

(rhyming poetry)

How can we now, account for love so deep?
With hearts so boundless, what count do we keep?

You belong to another's arms, it's true,
In this love, how can I offer rose to you?

You've come near, though your heart's with another,
What answer can I give you, my lover?

For your betrayal, what title is there?
How do I name the pain I now bear?

In love's fierce fire, I suffer and burn,
What balm can soothe, what peace can I earn?

Who drank deeply from your eyes so bright,
What need have they for wine tonight?

'Geet' who is, a sun so grand and bright,
How can I offer him the moon's light?
