मदहोश भला होते वहांँ कैसे जो तुमने।

अपनी मुझे आंँखों से पिलाई तो नहीं थी।

अब "गीत" गुज़ारेगी भला कैसे तेरे बिन। 

तुमने भी कोई राह सुझाई तो नहीं थी।

Peechhe se koee baat banaee to nahin thee.

Kaise mein najar apanee, hataata jo thee usape.

Usane jo najar apanee hataee to nahin thee.

Milana hee tha hamako to kisee raah pe milate.

Tha saath umr bhar ka judaee to nahin thee.

Jaate ho to jao, na pukaarenge tumhen ham.

Jeest ye tere naam likhaee to nahin thee.

Tha saath jo janmon ka juda kaise bhala hote.

Vo aakharee tumase to vidaee to nahin thee.

Madahosh bhala hote vahaann kaise jo tumane.

Apanee mujhe aannkhon se pilaee to nahin thee.

Ab "geet" guzaaregee bhala kaise tere bin.

Tumane to koee raah sujhaee to nahin thee.

How could I take my eyes off what was there?
