क़ाफ़िया आत

रदीफ़ तो फिर मुझे ख़त लिखना

याद आए रात की तो फिर मुझे ख़त लिखना।

पहली वो बरसात की तो फिर मुझे ख़त लिखना।

साथ हम चलते रहे थे राह पर याद आए। 

जब हुए आघात की तो फिर मुझे ख़त लिखना।

थे सजाए हमने सुंदर सपने पर, याद आए। 

जब बुरे हालात की तो फिर मुझे ख़त लिखना।

चल दिए तुम थे शहर उम्मीद लेकर याद आए।

पीछे जब देहात की तो फिर मुझे ख़त लिखना।

बैठना उठना है जिनसे जान लो जब नियत।

सारे उन हज़रात की तो फिर मुझे ख़त लिखना।

तुम मिले जब थे, बिठाया पलकों पे याद आए।

जो हुई खिदमात की तो फिर मुझे ख़त लिखना।

खेलनी हमने न चाही बाज़ी जो, हारे तुम। 

याद आए मात की तो फिर मुझे ख़त लिखना।

'गीत' ने जो थे सजाए ख़्वाब, करना चाहो।

बात उन जज्बात की तो फिर मुझे ख़त लिखना।

Yaad aae raat kee to phir mujhe khat likhana.

Pahalee vo barasaat kee to phir mujhe khat likhana.

Saath ham chalate rahe the raah par yaad aae. 

Jab hue aaghaat kee to phir mujhe khat likhana.

The sajae hamane sundar sapane par, yaad aae. 

Jab bure haalaat kee to phir mujhe khat likhana.

Chal die tum the shahar ummeed lekar yaad aae.

Peechhe jab dehaat kee to phir mujhe khat likhana.

Baithana uthana hai jinase jaan lo jab niyat.

Saare un hazaraat kee to phir mujhe khat likhana.

Tum mile jab the, bithaaya palakon pe yaad aae.

Jo huee khidamaat kee to phir mujhe khat likhana.

Khelanee hamane na chaahee baazee jo, haare tum.

Yaad aae maat kee to phir mujhe khat likhana.

'Geet' ne jo the sajae khvaab, karana chaaho.

baat un jajbaat kee to phir mujhe khat likhana.

If you remember that night then write to me.

First that rain, then write a letter to me.

We kept walking together and remembered on the road. 

When you suffer a stroke, write to me.

We were decorated on beautiful dreams, I remembered. 

When you are in a bad situation, write to me.

You left the city and remembered it with hope.

Then write to me when you go back to the countryside.

You have to sit and get up from which you can know when the intention is there.

Then write to me about all those Hazrats.

When I met you, I remembered you on my eyelids.

Whatever service you have done, then write to me.

We didn't want to play the game, you lost.

If you remember your defeat then write to me.
