2837 INDEPENDENCE DAY SPECIAL Without this nation, you are none (English poetry)

Hindi version 1900

Somewhere, we’re remembering our martyrs true,

Elsewhere, cries of division brew.

In these years of freedom’s span,

What have we gained? What’s the loss in our plan?

On one side, it's “Jai Hind,” on the other, division’s dreams,

Who’s a stranger, who’s ours, it seems?

The dreams freedom’s fighters once had for all,

Are we letting them shatter, letting them fall?

How will we stay united, when division’s seeds are sown?

Why in religion’s name, in language’s name,

In skin’s hue, do we break our home?

Why don’t we see, without this land, nothing is our own?

Your faith, your color, your tongue’s domain,

All exist because this nation remains.

But if you tear apart the land you stand on,

None of it matters—without the nation, it’s gone.

Without this nation, you are none.
