ਖੇਡਦੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਦੋਸਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ,
ਉਹ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਚਪਨ ਵਿੱਚ।
ਏਧਰ-ਉਧਰ ਦੌੜਦੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।
ਛਾਲਾਂ ਮਾਰਦੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਇੱਥੇ ਉੱਥੇ।
ਬਹੁਤ ਰੌਲਾ ਪਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।
ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਵਿਹੜੇ ਵਿੱਚ।
ਉਹ ਕਿੰਨੀ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਲੱਗਦੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ,
ਆਪਣੀ ਜਵਾਨੀ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ,
ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਿੰਨੇ ਮਰਦੇ ਹੋਣਗੇ।
ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਫੁੱਲ ਲਗਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਵਾਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ।
ਅੱਜ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਬਦਲ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਚੰਚਲ ਕੁੜੀ ਵਰਗੀ ਹੁੰਣ ਓਹ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ।
ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੁੱਝੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ।
ਬੈਠੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਹੜੇ (ਅੰਗਣ )ਵਿੱਚ।
ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੁਣ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਭੁੱਲ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
ਬਣਾ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਨਵੀਂ ਹੈ।
ਹੁਣ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਰਵਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀਆਂ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਲਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਦਾਮਣ ਵਿੱਚ।

Bahut raulā pā'undī hōvēgī.
Āpaṇē ghar dē vihaṛē vich.
Uh kinī sōhaṇī lagadī hōvēgī,
Apaṇī javānī dē vich,
Us utte kinnē maradē hōṇgē.
Jadōṁ uh phul lagā'undī hōvēgī vālāṁ vich.
Ajj sabh kujh badal gi'ā hai.
Chanchal kudī varagī huṇ ōh gal nahīṁ.
Āpaṇē kam vich rujhī rahindī.
Baiṭhī āpaṇē vihaṛē (agaṇa)vich.
Lagadā huṇ sabh kujha bhul ga'ī hai.
Baṇā la'ī us dunī'āṁ navīṁ hai.
Huṇ us nū āpaṇī paravāha nahīṁ hai.
Zimēvārī'āṁ banh litī'āṁ nē dāmaṇ vich.

She will be running here and there.
