Punjabi version 2442
Hindi version 1049
Life feels restless every day,
Like a tongue where broken teeth stay.
Can’t move freely, even a bit,
If it does, it starts to hit.
With one small move, it starts to bleed,
Just like a heart with a silent need.
This world’s rule is not so new,
People get trapped in troubles too.
If teeth are soft, the tongue feels peace,
Just like life when troubles cease.
But when the teeth are cracked and sore,
Life becomes a painful chore.
Among the rich, life may seem sweet,
But for the poor, it’s hard to eat.
When teeth are gone and pain won’t quit,
Life, like the tongue, must suffer it.
