3183 Fears are just not true (English poetry)

Most of our fears are just not true,

They haunt like ghosts, but nothing they do.

Rejoice in life, let comforts stay,

Why waste your peace and drift away?

Worry is just a thread so thin,

It steals your sleep, it creeps within.

Whom do you fear? Who brings you pain?

Who dares to hurt and still remain?

If someone speaks, you can reply,

No need to break, no need to cry.

For what we think becomes our way,

We live those thoughts each passing day.

And what we do, our minds create,

So choose your thoughts, before it's late.

Think only good, let worries go,

Or they will pull your spirit low.

They'll make you weak and bring you down,

And soon you’ll wear a heavy frown.

So leave the fears that crowd your mind,

And peace and joy you’re sure to find.
