ਜਦ ਤੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਆਈ,  ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਕੁਝ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋਈ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।

ਮੁਸਲਸਲ (ਲਗਾਤਾਰ) ਬੱਸ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੀ ਖਿਆਲ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ।

ਮੁਖਤਲਿਫ਼ (ਅਲਗ) ਜਿਹੀ ਸੋਚ ਹੈ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੁਣ।

ਹਰ ਘੜੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਕੁਰਬਤ(ਨਜ਼ਦੀਕੀ) ਦੀ ਚਾਹ ਦਿਲ ਚ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ।

ਮਯੱਸਰ (ਨਸੀਬ)ਹੋਵੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਕੁਰਬਤ ਇਹੀ ਤਮੰਨਾ ਬਾਕੀ ਹੈ।

ਤੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਦੋਸਤ, ਮਰਗ (ਮੌਤ) ਹੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਸਾਥੀ ਹੈ।

ਚਾਹੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦਿਲ ਘਬਰਾਇਆ, ਪਰ ਓਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਬਣਾਇਆ।

ਵਿੱਚੋ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਰਦਾ ਏ ਮਨ,  ਬੇਦਰਦ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਨੇ ਸਨਮ।

Saāḍē atharū kisē nē nā vēkhē, unhāṁ dē atharū mōtī hō ga'ē.

Chalad rihā silasilā, fēr kō'ī uhanāṁ nū chhaḍd gi'ā.

Jad uh ā'aē sāḍē kōl, lai kē man vich afasōs.

Chāhē vichōṁ dil ghabarā'i'ā, par ōhanāṁ nū āpaṇā baṇā'i'ā.

Vichōn vich ḍardā ē mann,  bēdard hō jāndē nē sanam.

Grieving was given, his heart became indebted

We kept robbing  to make them our own

 They came, smiled and heart became their.

We were already robbed, now we have also become debtors

No one saw our tears, their tears turned into pearls.
