क़ाफ़िया अते Qafia Ate
रदीफ़ हमने देखे हैं Radeef Hamne dekhe Hain
कहीं महलों में ऊंँचे लोग रहते हमने देखे हैं।
कहीं भूखे कहीं नंगे, तरसते हमने देखे हैं।
गुमां जिनको बड़ा था अपनी दौलत खूब होने का।
उन्हीं के महल ऊंँचे, ढहते गिरते हमने देखे हैं ।
बड़ी गरजन हैं करते, रौब अपना जो दिखाने को ।
कहांँ पर वो किसी पर भी बरसते हमने देखे हैं ।
हुए पत्थर सभी थे जो, न आया था तरस जिनको।
उन्हीं सब पत्थरों से आँसू बहते हमने देखे हैं।
यहांँ पर फर्क कितना है अमीरी और गरीबी का ।
यहीं पर लोग ठंडी से ठिठुरते हमने देखे हैं।
जो खाते भाव थे दौलत बड़ी होने का वो सारे।
इसी धरती पे पानी "गीत" भरते हमने देखे हैं ।

Kahin mahalon mein oonnche log rahate hamane dekhe hain.
Kaheen bhookhe kaheen nange, tarasate hamane dekhe hain.
Gumaan jinako bada tha apanee daulat khoob hone ka.
Unheen ke mahal oonnche, dhahate girate hamane dekhe hain .
Badee garajan hain karate, raub apana jo dikhaane ko .
Kahaann hamane kisee par vo barasate hamane dekhe hain .
Hue patthar sabhee the jo, na aaya tha taras jinako.
Unheen sab pattharon se aansoo bahate hamane dekhe hain.
Yahaann par phark kitana hai ameeree aur gareebee ka .
Yaheen par log thandee se thithurate hamane dekhe hain.
Jo khaate bhaav the daulat badee hone ka vo saare.
Isee dharatee pe paanee "geet" bharate hamane dekhe hain

Somewhere we have seen high profile people living in palaces.
Somewhere we have seen the hungry and somewhere naked and yearning.
Those who were proud of having a lot of wealth.
We have seen their palaces rise and fall.
They roar loudly to show off their power.
Where have we seen it raining on anyone?
All those who were turned to stone, did not feel pity.
We have seen tears flowing from all those stones.
There is so much difference between wealth and poverty here.
It is here that we have seen people shivering from the cold.
All those who had feelings of increasing wealth .
We have seen them pouring water on this earth "Geet".
