3085 I miss you (English poetry)

I miss you deeply since we’ve grown apart,

It’s torn me slowly, it’s bruised my heart.

To part from someone close, I’ve come to know,
Is pain that’s hard, and it hurts me so.

The one who hurts, who makes me cry,
Takes my breath but won’t ask why—

Still feels better, I sometimes feel,
To walk away and start to heal.

I’ll smile, but we will never meet,
Did you know this pain runs deep?

I never thought it’d ache so much,
To part from you, to lose your touch.

These nights alone are cold and long,
Each moment feels like something's wrong.

Since you’ve been gone, my soul’s not right—
Your absence cuts me every night.

By prayer we met, by grace, by fate,
So don’t leave now, it feels too late.

Another parting, I could not take,
It’d break my heart, it’d make it ache.

I loved you more than words can say,
With all I had, in every way.

But now I stand, forced to let go,
Of someone I still need, you know.

Don’t ask me now to sing or write,
The words might steal my soul tonight.

Since you said those parting lines—
I’ve lived beneath their silent signs.
