धीरे-धीरे पास मेरे, आप(तुम थे) जब आने लगे।
क्यों नज़र मिलते ही मुझसे, आप(तुम थे) शरमाने लगे।
जिस तरह तुम दौड़ कर थीं, पास मेरे आ गईं।
मैं भी कुछ घबरा गया था, तुम थे जब शाने लगे।
जब नज़र अपनी मिली तब, देखता तुझको रहा।
यूँ नशा मुझको हुआ, आंँखें थीं, मयख़ाने लगे।
प्यार अपना हम छुपा पाए न तुझसे थे सनम।
भाव अपने प्यार के क्योंकर थे बचकाने लगे।
लोग जलते थे, लगे जो तोड़ने इस प्यार को।
क्यों हमारे प्यार को थे, लोग उकसाने लगे।
धड़कने बढ़ने लगी सीने लगे जब आप थे।
'गीत' जैसे अंग सारे थे मेरे गाने लगे।
