ਮਿੱਟੀ ਦੇ ਦੀਵੇ ਬਣਾਏ ਨੇ ਮੈਂ,
ਕਰ ਲਵੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਜਾਲਾ।
ਜੇ ਕੁੱਝ ਖਰੀਦ ਲਵੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਤਾਂ,
ਮੇਰੇ ਘਰ ਵੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਊ ਉਜਾਲਾ।
ਬੜੀ ਆਸ ਇਸ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਤੋਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ,
ਦੀਵੇ ਦੇਣਗੇ ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ।
ਮੇਰੇ ਘਰ ਵੀ ਹੋਜੂ ਉਜਾਲਾ,
ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਪਲ ਮਿਲਣਗੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ।
ਬੜੀ ਚਕਾਚੌਂਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੂੰ ਖੋਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ,
ਜ਼ਰਾ ਆਸੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਵੀ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਪਾਓ।
ਜਦ ਤੇਰੇ ਘਰ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਦੇ ਦੀਵੇ ਜਲਣਗੇ।
ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਪਲ ਲਵੇਗਾ ਪਾ।
ਮੈਂ ਵੀ ਤਾਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਹੀ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦਾ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਹਾਂ,
ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਹੱਕ ਦੇ ਦਵੋ।
ਦੂਜੇ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੋਚਿਓ,
ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਕੁੱਝ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾ ਤੇ ਉਪਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਦਿਓ।
ਖੁਸ਼ਹਾਲ ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਮੁਲਕ ਮੇਰਾ,
ਜਦ ਖੁਸ਼ਹਾਲ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਇੱਥੇ ਦਾ ਹਰ ਇਨਸਾਨ।
ਮੇਰੀ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਦਾ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ,
ਦੀਵਾਲੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਘਰ ਵੀ ਦੀਵਾ ਜਲੇਗਾ।
ਦੀਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਬਹੁਤ ਹਨ ਪਰ,
ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੇਲ ਵੀ ਤਾਂ ਪਾਉਣਾ ਹੈ।
ਜੋ ਮੁੱਲ ਲੈ ਜਾਓਗੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਥੋਂ,
ਤਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਘਰ ਵੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਉਜਾਲਾ।

Mitṭī dē dīvē baṇā'ē nē maiṁ,
Kar lavō āpaṇē ghar vich ujālā.
Jē kujh kharīd lavō mērē tō tāṁ,
Mērē ghar vī hō jā'ū ujālā.
Badī āas is mitṭī tōṁ mainū,
Deeīvē dēṇgē rauśhanī tuhānū.
Mērē ghar vī hōjū ujālā,
Khuśī dē pal milaṇagē tuhānū.
Badī chakāchaundh vich tū khō'i'ā hō'i'ā,
Zarā iss pāasē vī nazar pā'ō.
Jadd tērē ghar mitṭī dē deevē jalaṇagē.
Kō'ī hōr vī khuśhī dē pal lavēgā pā.
Maiṁ vī tāṁ tērē hī dēśh dā inasān hāṁ,
Mainū vī mērā hakk dē davō.
Dūjē dēśhāṁ dē lōkāṁ bārē bāad vich sōchi'ō,
Pahilāṁ kujh āpaṇē bhrā tē upakār kar di'ō.
Khuśahāl tāṁ hī hōvēgā mulak mērā,
jadd khuśahāl hōvēgā ithē dā har inasān.
Mērī mehnat dā mainū hissā milēgā,
dīvālī vālē din mērē ghar vī dīvā jalēgā.
Deevē tāṁ mērē kōl bahuta han par,
inhāṁ vich tēl vī tāṁ pā'uṇā hai.
Jō mull lai jā'ōgē tusīṁ maithōṁ,
tāṁ mērē ghar vī hō jāvēgā ujālā.

I made clay lamps,
Use it in your home.
If you buy something from me,
There will be light in my house too.
I ve hope from this soil,
Lamps will give you light.
Light up my house too,
You will get happy moments.
You're lost in the dazzle,
Just look around.
When the clay lamps will be lit in your house.
Someone else will have a happy moment.
I too am a man of your own country.
Give me my right too.
Think about the people of other countries later,
First, do something for your brother.
My country will be happy only,
When everyone here will be happy.
I will receive a share of my labor,
