ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਂ ਕਿਉਂ ਵੇਖੀਏ
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਚਿਹਰਾ ਕੁਝ ਹੋਰ,
ਤੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁੱਝ ਹੋਰ ਹੋਵੇ।
ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਨ ਜੋ ਪਿਆਰ ਦੀਆਂ
ਦਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਸਿਆ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਹੋਵੇ।
ਜ਼ਮਾਨੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਖਾਉਣ ਪਿਆਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ
ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਲ 'ਚ ਚੋਰ ਹੋਵੇ।
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਹਾਲ ਦਿਲ ਦਾ ਸੁਣਾਈਏ ਕੀ।
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾ ਦਿਲ ਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਹੋਵੇ।
ਬਾਵਫਾ ਮਿਲਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਚਾਹੇ ਕਿੰਨੇ।
ਰੁੱਖ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਬੇਵਫ਼ਾ ਦੀ ਓਰ ਹੋਵੇ।
ਅਸੀਂ ਲਿਖਾਂਗੇ ਕਰਕੇ ਕੁੱਝ ਐਸਾ।
ਕੀ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਫੇਰ ਸਾਡਾ ਹੀ ਸੋ਼ਰ ਹੋਵੇ।
ਉਹ ਨਾ ਵੇਖਣ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਚਾਹੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਵੱਲ।
ਪਰ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਰੁਖ਼ ਸਾਡੀ ਓਰ ਹੋਵੇ।

Uhanāṁ nū asīṁ ki'uṁ vēkhī'ē
jinhāṁ dā chehrā kujh hōr,
tē dil dē vich kujh hōr hōvē.
Galāṁ karan jō pya'ār dī'āṁ
dil vich vasi'ā kō'ī hōr hōvē.
Zamānē nū sikhā'uṇ pyai'ār dī'āṁ galāṁ
Tē āpaṇē dil'ch chōr hōvē.
Us nū hāal dilan dā suṇā'ī'ē kī.
Jinhā dā nā dil tē kō'ī zōr hōvē.
Bāvafā milad raheṇ chāhē kimnnē.
Rukh unhāṁ dā bēvafā dī ōr hōvē.
Asīṁ likhāṅgē karkē kujha aisā
kī har thān phēr sāḍā hī shọ̄r hōvē.
Uh nā vēkhaṇ fir chāhē sāḍē val.
Par dunī'āṁ dā ruḵẖ sāḍī ōra hōvē.
