ਜਦ ਖੋਇਆ ਕੋਈ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿੱਚ, ਤਾਂ ਤਸਵੀਰ ਬਣੀ।

ਪਿਆਰ ਹੋਇਆ ਤਸਵੀਰ ਨਾਲ, ਕਲਾ ਜਾਗੀ, ਤੇ ਤਕਦੀਰ ਬਣੀ।

ਤਕਦੀਰ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਰੰਗ ਦਿਖਾਇਆ ਤਾਂ, ਸੌ਼ਹਰਤ ਮਿਲੀ।

ਸੌ਼ਹਰਤ ਪਹੁੰਚੀ ਦਿਲਦਾਰ ਦੇ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਤਾਂ ਮੁਹੱਬਤ ਮਿਲੀ।

ਮਿਲਿਆ ਜਦ ਮੁਹੱਬਤ ਦਾ ਸਾਥ ਤਾਂ,

ਵਫ਼ਾ ਦੇ ਰੰਗ ਤੇ ਕਲਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਖਾ਼ਰ ਆਇਆ।

ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਲਬਰ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਪਾਇਆ।

ਹੁਣ ਤਾਂ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਆ ਗਈ ਕਦਮਾਂ ਵਿਚ,

ਕਲਾ ਤੋਂ ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਇਹ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਪਾਇਆ।

ਕਲਾ ਨੇ ਹੀ ਤਾਂ ਤਸਵੀਰ ਦਾ ਦੂਜਾ ਰੁੱਖ ਦਿਖਾਇਆ।।

Jadd khō'i'ā kō'ī kisē dē pi'ār vich, tān tasavīr baṇī.

Pyi'ār hō'i'ā tasavīr naāl, kalā jāggī, tē takadeer baṇī.

Takadeer nē āpaṇā rang dikhā'i'ā tā, shaụhrat milī.

Shaụhrat panhucī diladār dē kannāṁ vich tāṁ muhabat milī.

Mili'ā jad muhbatt dā sāth tāṁ,

vafā dē rang tē kalā vich nikhạ̄r āa'i'ā.

Lōkān dā tē āpaṇē dilabar dā pyi'āra paā'i'ā.

Huṇ tāṁ dunī'āṁ āa ga'ī kadamā vich,

kalā tōṁ tāṁ hī ih sudar sasnār pā'i'ā.

Kalā nē hī tāṁ tasavīleer dā dūjā rukha dikhā'i'ā..

(English meaning)

When someone fell in love with someone, then a picture was created.

I fell in love with the picture, the art woke up, and the destiny was made.

When destiny showed its color, friendship was found.

When reputation reached in friends ear I found love .

When the companionship of love is found,

The color of faith was manifested in art.

Loved people and loved ones.

Now the world has come in steps,

This beautiful world was found only through art.

Art only showed the second side of the picture.
