I called your name, but you stayed away,

Even in parting, you had no say.

You never once looked back at me,
Yet forgetting you wasn’t easy, you see.

If fate had written our paths apart,
How could we meet with a broken heart?

I waited long for a sign, a way,
Yet no words from you could light my day.

I dreamed of love so strong, so true,
Yet such a dream was lost on you.

I wished to gift the stars above,
Yet failed to prove my endless love.

I longed to build a world so fine,
Yet it stayed a dream, never mine.

'Geet' your name was carved within my soul,
Yet erasing it was not my goal.
