Hindi version 2827
Punjabi version 2960
After the ghazal is sung, do come again,
If you seek applause, don't break the chain.
Since distance grew, you've forgotten it all,
If you wish to remember, then heed my call.
Life feels so barren, come as the spring,
Only then will joy and warmth truly cling.
Clashes arise when thoughts don't agree,
Meet me often to keep the quarrels free.
Words alone can mend what’s broken inside,
To resolve disputes, let our meetings abide.
I hold no grudge, your guilt is your own,
Don’t put on me the weight you've known.
I've asked you to meet me many a time,
Grant me this wish and make life sublime.
Come close, O 'Geet,' let distances fade,
No need for words, just meet—don’t delay.
