Let’s remember our childhood days,
The light-filled nights, the carefree ways.
Those moments of joy, so simple, so sweet,
With pebbles and leaves as the gifts we’d greet.
Our treasure was soft little stones we found,
On roads where our game made a tapping sound.
Though running around made us tired and sore,
We’d chase and we’d laugh, then run even more.
The fountains of laughter would never end,
Each day would arrive with a giggling bend.
Where can I find those magical nights?
Let’s remember those childhood delights.
Let’s remember our childhood days,
The light-filled nights, the carefree ways.
Why was our childhood made so brief,
It left so quick, like a sudden thief?
It grew its wings and flew so far,
Gone with the wind like a distant star.
Now tangled in earning, lost in the race,
Still chasing dreams we never embrace.
Now to myself, I often speak,
Of days when joy would quietly peek.
Let’s remember our childhood days,
The light-filled nights, the carefree ways.
Life’s still a race, we’re running blind,
But joy in this rush is hard to find.
I tell myself, “Stop at some bend,”
But such a bend just doesn’t send.
Wish someone came to talk me through,
But everyone’s far, not a soul in view.
So day and night, to myself I say:
Let’s remember our childhood play.
Let’s remember our childhood days,
The light-filled nights, the carefree ways.
Now friends bring laughter, joy, and song,
It feels like those days are back where they belong.
From my heart, prayers never cease,
Hoping this moment forever finds peace.
May life now shine in a brighter way,
And smile like childhood every day.
Let those old days return once more,
With all the evenings we adored.
Let’s remember our childhood days,
The light-filled nights, the carefree ways.
